Ghana Hosts Young CEO’S Business Summit
Africa has seen a number of innovative and creative young entrepreneurs and business leaders building global firms across the continent and beyond. To increase the pace of this course, The Young CEO’S Business Summit is poised to providing that platform for budding young business leaders to learn and grow their start-ups.
The Young CEO’S Business Summit is focused to tackling the issues confronting Start-ups in Africa. It will provide answers to the difficult start-up questions that Universities don’t answer. Young entrepreneurs will learn from Africans who have started a business in Africa and have succeeded. They will be telling stories of start-up mistakes and how to avoid them. The Young CEOs Business Forum holding in Accra, Ghana is not another Start-up 101; it’s Advanced Start-up. The experienced speakers will tell you how to start a business; their personal stories will draw you in and their victories will inspire your start-up to be another African Success story.
The first Young CEOs Business Summit was held in Dubai,2014 and had in attendance CEOs spanning different sectors, Investment partners, Venture Capitalists, etc. This year it’s coming down to Africa, Accra Ghana, April 23rd-25th 2015 at the British Council, with Theme; Advancing Start-up business in Africa. Considering Africa’s business potential and the relevance of this theme one can only imagine the positive impact of such summit in the economy of Africa.

British Award for African Development honoures Rex Idaminabo and Denta Amoateng
At a Private Parliamentarian Award Ceremony yesterday, hosted by Pauline Latham MP and Jeremy Lefroy MP, and other UK Parliamentarians at Westminster, UK Parliament, Rex Idaminabo was decorated with the honour for his significant role in promoting African and Diaspora entrepreneurial developments as well as setting good models of business and development in the UK and Africa.
He is also the co-founder of the Young CEOs Business Forum (which he co-founded with David James Egwu), which has being training young entrepreneurs across various countries around the world, and Rex was ranked by Forbes among leading Young African Entrepreneurs.
The British Awards for African Development is also a noted British honour that has being used to celebrate distinguished people who have excelled in business and development sectors. In an interaction with Rex Idaminabo, he noted;

The Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards also won a prestigious award from the British Award for African Development (BRAAD), for their work in recognising the ‘hugely significant’ contribution that British-Ghanaians make to society. The award ceremony is focused on highlighting the achievements of incredible individuals who have excelled in academia, entrepreneur endeavors, NGO’s and companies who have contributed time, finances or sheer sweat equity to support the development of Africa and the African Diasporas. The British award for Africa Development is a unique opportunity to recognise personalities from various industries and sectors for their outstanding achievement. Whether it is through their work in the African communities in the UK and for involvement in improving the quality of life for disadvantaged communities in Africa, we want to champion these individuals. The award will also encourage the emulation of good practice in business enterprises, charities and NGO’s.
