Jessica Opare Saforo To Speak at TedxSpintexWomen 2015
Jessica Opare Saforo, a multi-talented broadcaster and the programmes manager at Citi Fm, will be speaking at this year’s TEDxSpintexWomen. She will be highlighting her experience in becoming one of the best radio presenters known both in Ghana and international. Jessica is passionate about empowering women to standout in their circles.
She is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Voice Ova Company. She’s MTN Voice Ambassador and was best female radio presenter of the year 2013 and 2014.
Jessica will be joined by other great speakers including:
Amina Ismail Daru, a 15 years old girl who got saved from early child marriage. She’s the Co-founder, Achievers Ghana. Currently, preparing to write her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). She inspires many of her peers to be role models in their respective communities. She’s a strong woman and daring for change in the lives of girls in her community.
Jennifer Agyeman: Jennifer is passionate about helping individuals reach their potential in every way. Her areas of expertise include appearance, understanding your mind, confidence building, healthy relationships and soft skills for business excellence. As a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner, Jennifer works with individuals for them to overcome limiting beliefs about themselves and the world, which have been created by their background and life experiences.
Ms. Ofie Ofuatey Kodjoe is a songstress, a management executive, radio/television presenter, motivational speaker, humanitarian and family woman. She wear many hats and very committed and passionate to each. She is the CEO of Onyx Management Group, and a board member of One Nation Entertainment and Excelsis Solutions. She’s a former Director at Black Entertainment Television (BET). Her sole responsibility was procuring, planning, organizing productions and event management. This included various special event productions such as BET Awards, BET HIP HOP Awards, BET celebration of Gospel just to mention a few. Ms. Kodjoe has been performing around the world for the past thirty years and has performed on such shows as BET’s “Walk of fame” and “celebration of Gospel”. Also, she was honored to perform for Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene and President Sirleaf-Johnson of Liberia. She’s the host of Upside and Downtime.
Mrs. Ellen Hagan is the CEO of L’AINE Services Ltd, Ghana’s leading HR organization and a proud member of the Ghana Club 100. She’s an entrepreneur and a HR practitioner with over 25years experience. She’s an honorary fellow of the Boardroom Institute of the Graduate School of Governance and Leadership. In 2012, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) named her the Marketing Woman of the year. She received the Nobles International Award by the West African Nobles Forum, for her Integrity in West Africa. Lastly, She’s a Vlisco Ambassador. Mrs. Hagan is passionate about human capital development for greater economic good.

Gamel is a creative writing instructor for the Young Ghanaian Writers Programme (YGWP). He also doubles up as the Writing and Business Programmes Director for YGWP. Mr. Sankarl was recently nominated for the prestigious BEFFTA UK Global Awards as one of thirty nominees across the globe as Best Author. In January 2014 he was named as the only Ghanaian amongst ten finalists in Africa for the PAMCA students essay competition. Also in October 2014, he was given an online recognition award by Leadership Mind Ambassadors as the Best Male Influential Writer of The Year. Earlier this year he was listed in the African Viewpoint Journal as one of ’20 Under 35 Young African Change Makers You Must Know’ by the Africa Youth Awards team. He has published twelve books out of his fourteen books. Some of his life transforming titles include; Author @ any Age, Better Is Better, Gamelian Gems, Poetivation, Winning starts with Beginning, What You see Is what You Get, If It Is to Be It Is Up To Me among others

#TEDxSpintexWomen: BreakOut to StandOut
TEDxSpintexWomen, the premier licensed TEDWomen Global related event in Ghana. A unique platform where ideas are worth sharing with actionable steps. The conference will feature high-level speakers and passionate individuals defying the odds for socioeconomic good.
The purpose of the TEDxSpintexWomen Conference is to help promote and achieve the 5th and 16th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG); promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women and promoting peace and inclusive societies in Ghana.
Its singular aim is to educate, inspire and empower women to be architects of change by bringing together entrepreneurs, corporate executives, top experts, innovators, teachers, students, celebrities and business owners, in an inspiring environment, to pose questions, find answers, share and brainstorm ideas, shape talents, transfer skills, and develop winning strategies to tackle some of the challenges confronting women in our societies and the country at large.
Women are often the creative powerhouses driving progress, and the active force crystallizing change in communities worldwide. From small local solutions to global movements, the power of women’s invention is visible in every region and in every field.
This year’s event is scheduled on 29th October, 2016 at the British Council and the time is 4-8pm. The Theme for the event is dubbed: BreakOut to StandOut.
TEDxSpintexWomen is only in its third year and is growing fast.
